Word Mansion passes one million downloads
The word puzzle game Word Mansion reaches a milestone and continues to show strong average revenue per user.
Stockholm, Sweden - 12 May, 2021 - Today MAG Interactive announces that Word Mansion has passed one million downloads. The game is developed by the Swedish game studio Apprope, a company which MAG acquired in early January.
Word Mansion is a word puzzle game framed by a story that revolves around renovation and decoration and was released for iOS and Android in the fall of 2020. Since its release, the game has grown significantly; by the end of March 2021 it reached high listings on the download charts in the US. The game shows an average revenue per daily active user (ARPDAU) that is significantly higher than MAG's portfolio in general and comparable to Wordzee, one of MAG’s strongest growth products.
Word Mansion belongs to a category of puzzle games that has increased in popularity in the casual segment in recent years. Word Mansion is still in an early stage of development, and MAG sees significant potential in working with Apprope to improve the game in the coming months.
“Of course, it's great fun that we've passed one million downloads. But there is still a lot to develop - for example, we will release localizations for more languages before the summer. We continue to build on Word Mansion together with MAG", says Markus Wedenborn, co-founder of Apprope.
“Despite the fact that Apprope has only been a part of MAG since January, we have already been able to see clear synergies in our collaboration. Word Mansion is still in an early stage, but the game has strong KPIs and we see promising opportunities to make the game even better over time. The ARPDAU is one of the highest in our portfolio and the continued development focuses mainly on building a strong long-term engagement in the game”, says Daniel Hasselberg, CEO of MAG Interactive.
