MAG donates proceeds to charity fighting against Covid-19
The global earnings from QuizDuel on April 10 will be donated to WHO's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund
Stockholm, Sweden - 9 April 2020 - MAG Interactive announced today that the company will donate all global QuizDuel and New QuizDuel proceeds from April 10th to the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund in the fight against the coronavirus.
With over 100 million downloads, QuizDuel is the largest trivia game in Europe for iOS and Android. It is also MAG's biggest game in terms of daily active users and in February 2020, QuizDuel was also the most played game in Germany according to the analysis service App Annie.
“It feels like an obvious course of action to do what we can to contribute in this difficult situation. We try to find ways in which our games can facilitate. In Germany we have collaborated with the German health authority's information campaign “Zusammen gegen Corona” - which translates “together against Corona” - to launch a quiz in QuizDuel about the coronavirus in order to increase knowledge about the virus and reduce disinformation. Since QuizDuel has such a large audience in Germany, we can use that reach to help the health authority highlight its message. It is in conjunction with the launch of this quiz on April 10, that we have chosen to donate a day's profits to the World Health Organization’s Covid-19 fund", says Daniel Hasselberg, CEO of MAG Interactive.
